American Football League Spalding Leather Football w/Pete Rozelle signature
Flashback to the days of the American Football League. This genuine leather football has legendary Commissioner Pete Rozelle's signature imprinted on it and was one of the first footballs to include the "night stripes" we all recognize today. Now a member of the NFL Hall of Fame, Rozelle oversaw the AFL-NFL league merger in 1966, however, the two acted as separate leagues with Rozelle presiding over both until 1970, when today's AFC-NFC NFL was officially formed. This rare football is from that 4-year span when the AFL was being led by newly-signed superstar Joe Namath and is a real treasure for anyone wanting to commemorate the history of football in America.
